Ultra Fine Rake Brush 1/2"

Our premium ultra fine rake brushes were created by artists for artists. These feature beautiful wood handles with the highest quality bristles! Perfect for painting fine wispy hair, fur, grass, evergreen branches, feathers and more! Built with high quality materials, these brushes ensure longevity and ease of use.

TIPS: For best results, thin your paint to the consistency of ink (this allows your bristles to separate nicely and your stroke to run smoother and longer), dip brush fully into paint (lightly tap it on a paper towel to absorb any excess water if needed), push brush head down on your palate wiggling it back and forth - spreading bristles apart (look at the tips to ensure they clumped and separated nicely), using very little pressure lightly brush up and out using a flicking motion. Swipe in different directions to keep strokes from looking too uniform. Layer with different colors to bring more depth.

A perfect companion to our angle brushes - a fun and easy way to paint hair/fur! Start with our angle brushes, painting light strokes to create the "base" thicker hair, then add fine wispies on top with our ultra fine rake brush. Building different stroke thicknesses and colors gives your project dimension and a realistic look. (see example photo above for visual details)
